AWARENESS IN THE FIGHT AGAINST ADDICTION IS INCREASING AT BURDUR MEHMET AKİF ERSOY UNIVERSITY

At Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Nursing, under the consultancy of Dr. Lecturer Hanife ÜLGEN in the Department of Child Health and Diseases Nursing, the "Self-Efficacy and Benefit-Harm Perception in Addiction Peer Awareness Activity" was conducted. During the event, an information stand was opened with posters and brochures prepared by students who took the elective course "Self-Efficacy and Benefit-Harm Perception in Addiction" to increase peer awareness.
In the studies conducted; it is emphasized that individuals can be protected from and quit addiction by increasing their self-efficacy and harm perception in the fight against addiction. Again, in the studies conducted, it is stated that the most important risk factor in addiction is peer groups. For this reason, the event was planned to inform peers about self-efficacy and benefit-harm perception in addiction and to create awareness. Students participating in the event were informed about self-efficacy, the factors effective in the development of self-efficacy, benefit/harm perception in addiction, and the effects of these factors on addiction, and brochures were distributed.
The event was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hakan ÖNER, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Ayşegül MUTLU GÜLMEMİŞ, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Dr. Lecturer Buket Şimşek Aslan, Head of the Department of Gerontology Assoc. Dr. Sevinç Sütlü, Deputy Head of the Department of Nursing Dr. Lecturer Mustafa Belli, Assoc. Dr. Aysun Güzel, along with many academicians and students.
